Screams
"No!" I cry, flailing to my knees as the Fury's talon pierces Hermes' back. Gold trickles from his lips as it emerges through his belly.
Death
I watch helplessly as it pulls him off its claw. His feet dangle lifelessly.
Dead.
Thoughts fade from my consciousness completely as the Fury's jagged teeth meet Hermes' middle.
Desperation
Just like Hermes, the Fury tries to pull away from me... but the weight of my vengeance holds it in place.
I bare my teeth and adjust my grip. As I twist, bones snap under my fingers like twigs. Desperate cries fill the sky.
Its head falls to the ground.
Hermes stopped fighting after the first wing, too.
