Hi! My name is Selena, and I'm so excited to share this piece of my life with you.

I grew up in Southern Illinois (think cornfields and grain mills—not Chicago) with a very Greek father, who worked hard to instill traditional values in me.

When I was a kid, Greek mythology was a staple. My dad would tell us stories about Selene, Nyx, Zeus, Apollo, and all their escapades. His personal favorite was the Titanomachy.

While my siblings grew out of it and moved on to have (very successful) lives, I never stopped loving the stories that shaped me.

Blood and Wings of Gold, and the following sequels, is a culmination of childhood imagination, a love for writing, and a passion to keep these stories—and the gods they revolve around—alive.
