About
Sparagmos calls to the classics like Dionysiaca and The Bacchae for inspiration on the original myth. However, both texts lack a modern storytelling technique which readers crave: interiority.
Sparagmos is told from within Dionysus, exploring Dionysus as I, as well as Dionysus as We.
Dionysus
Dionysus is the Greek god of: wine, grapevine, fertility, festivity, ecstasy,
madness, theater, and ritual frenzy.
As such, his story tends to fluctuate between terrible highs and terrifying lows.
