Hi! My name is Selena, and I'm so excited to share this piece of my life with you.

I grew up in Southern Illinois (think cornfields and grain mills—not Chicago) with a very Greek father, who worked hard to instill traditional values in me.

When I was a kid, Greek mythology was a staple. My dad would tell us stories about Selene, Nyx, Zeus, Apollo, and all their escapades. He always loved the story of Sisyphus.

Fortunately for Blood and Wings of Gold, I never stopped loving the stories that shaped me.

Blood and Wings of Gold, and the sequels, is a culmination of childhood imagination, a love for writing, and a passion to keep these stories—and the gods they revolve around—alive.
